Quetta Gladiators have won the toss and have opted to field
We’re past the halfway stage of the tournament and it’s that time of the season where every result is of utmost significance. Especially to the teams that haven’t won many games. Like the Gladiators for example.
With just one win from five games, Sarfaraz Ahmed’s men are fast entering do-or-die territory and find themselves on the brink of elimination.
They’ve been very inconsistent so far in all departments and it’s reflecting on the points table too. The task doesn’t get any easier though, as they take on the table toppers in their den.
Qalandars, the defending champs, are riding high on confidence with four wins from five games, including three on the bounce. They’ve also started their home leg with crushing wins and will want to make it a hat-trick of that tonight. Will they succeed or will the Gladiators stop the juggernaut? We shall see.
So all eyes on Nawaz now, since Imad is having the best outings, these few games might decide the position of Nawaz in PCT fixtures ” All eyes on Nawaz has been said a fair few times in Pakistan over the decades, actually.
Awais : “It’s really surprising to see teams are still choosing to bowl first. Teams batting first have won the games recently in this PSL. Nevertheless, good luck Quetta!”
haseeb: “Go Quetta Gladiators. Btw, who are we welcoming back on the commentary panel. A name would solve this mystery :)” Ha, it’s Danyal here
Lahore Qalandars are unchanged, as you might expect. Quetta make three changes, the big news being Jason Roy and Mohammad Hasnain are out. Roy is unavailable, of course, while Hasnain isn’t fully fit.
